The Latest With Lewis – November 2025
Our team had the honor of attending this year’s Black Tie Gala, and it was an incredible evening in support of a mission we care deeply about. Events like this remind us why community matters and how powerful it is when professionals, advocates, and leaders come together for a purpose bigger than ourselves. We are grateful to stand behind such an important cause and to contribute to the ongoing work that strengthens families and improves lives across our community.
Our firm recently had the privilege of hosting a campaign event for Judge Sandre Streete, and it was a meaningful reminder of why our work matters.
The room was filled with attorneys, judges, and other professionals who care deeply about strengthening the family court system and improving the way families experience some of the hardest moments of their lives. It was encouraging to see so many people aligned in values and committed to elevating the standards of our profession.
We are always grateful for opportunities like this to connect, collaborate, and continue pushing for a system that supports families with clarity, compassion, and fairness.
As we enter a season that brings both joy and complexity for many families, we are reminded of the privilege it is to stand beside those who trust us during major life transitions. Holidays can bring emotion, pressure, and difficult decisions. They can also bring a renewed commitment to peace, clarity, and protecting what matters most. Our November issue is designed to help you move forward with strength.
As the holidays approach, this is also a good time to review any existing decrees or temporary orders so you feel clear about what is expected. If anything is unclear or you are unsure how your orders apply to upcoming plans, reach out and let our team help you walk through it. Understanding your rights and responsibilities ahead of time can prevent unnecessary conflict and set everyone up for a calmer, more positive holiday season.
The holidays create a perfect storm of spending, stress, and big life decisions. If you’re quietly preparing for a possible divorce in the new year, now is the time to protect yourself. Our Financial Protection Checklist breaks down the 10 most important steps to take before you file, from securing documents to separating finances so you enter the process informed, prepared, and protected. Get ahead of January, the busiest divorce month of the year, with clarity and confidence.

The kiosks make donating easy and engaging, allowing users to pick a specific dollar amount or item to contribute to a specific charity.
“Instead of purchasing candy or snacks from a vending machine, people buy goods and services to support those in need. It’s a machine that enables a person to give rather than receive. Items vary by city, but a typical machine includes food, clean water, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education support, hygiene kits, bedding, job and career training, and even livestock such as chickens, goats, pigs, and beehives.”
