12 Years of Trusted Family Law Representation
Thank you for being part of our story. Here's to 12 years of helping families move forward and to many more ahead.
Celebrating 12 Years of Advocacy, Guidance & Results.
Twelve years ago, I started KLL with a simple goal: to build a firm that families could trust during some of the most difficult seasons of their lives.
At the time, I couldn't have imagined where that journey would lead or the incredible people who would become part of it.
When I think about twelve years, I don't immediately think about milestones or anniversaries. I think about people.
I think about t he families who have trusted us with some of the most important decisions they'll ever make. I think about the children whose futures mattered enough for their parents to fight for them. I think about the countless hours our attorneys and legal teams have spent preparing, strategizing, advocating, negotiating, and standing beside our clients when they needed someone in their corner the most.
I think about the conversations behind closed conference room doors where our attorneys collaborate, challenge one another, and share their knowledge and experience because every perspective has the potential to make us better advocates. I think about the commitment this team has made to continuing education, constantly sharpening our skills, and never becoming comfortable with "good enough."
I think about serving our community beyond the courtroom, supporting organizations and causes that matter, volunteering our time, building relationships, mentoring others, celebrating milestones together, and intentionally creating a culture where people genuinely enjoy coming to work because they believe in the mission we're all working toward.
None of those things happen by accident.
Over the years, I've learned that building a great law firm isn't just about hiring talented attorneys. It's about surrounding yourself with people who share the same values, who genuinely care about one another, who hold themselves to a high standard, and who never lose sight of the privilege and responsibility that comes with serving families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
This work isn't easy. It's emotional. It's rewarding. It's challenging. There are days that leave you incredibly proud, and there are days that make you question yourself. There are victories worth celebrating and difficult moments that stay with you long after the workday ends. But every challenge has shaped us into better professionals, better teammates, and better advocates.
Looking back, I can honestly say every lesson has been worth it.
This past year has been especially meaningful.
While continuing to serve our clients every single day, we've also spent time investing in the future of KLL. We've elevated our brand, launched a completely redesigned website, expanded our educational resources, created guides and content designed to better inform and support families, strengthened how we communicate with our community, and begun sharing more of our knowledge through thought leadership and media opportunities.
But the best part is that none of those things, the branding, the website, the resources, the educational content, or anything else we've been working so hard on, are really the end goal.
They're simply helping KLL become an even stronger reflection of why this firm exists in the first place.
-------
To serve families and individuals through some of life's hardest seasons with exceptional legal guidance, integrity, compassion, and excellence.
-------
As our firm has grown, I've also become increasingly intentional about building the kind of workplace I always hoped KLL would be. A place where exceptional people feel supported, challenged, respected, and inspired to do meaningful work together. A place where our team can grow professionally while knowing their work has a lasting impact on the lives of others.
That may be one of the things I'm most proud of.
To our clients, thank you for placing your trust in us.
To our referral partners, colleagues, judges, mediators, and the professional community who have supported us over the years, thank you for believing in our work.
And to every attorney, paralegal, legal assistant, and member of our support team —thank you for the care, dedication, professionalism, and heart you bring to KLL every single day. This anniversary belongs to all of us.
Twelve years later, I am incredibly proud of what we've built together.
More importantly, I'm excited about what we're continuing to build.
Thank you for being part of these 12 years.
Here's to the next chapter.
