What Can You Do to Speed Your Divorce?
Yet divorces often drag on much longer than anticipated. People get stuck in limbo, where they cannot fully start living their new life because they are still trying to get their divorce over the line. The following tips can increase the chance you finalize things sooner.
– Keep Your Expectations Realistic: If you push too hard to get things your way in a divorce, it could end up taking much longer. Taking an extreme stance could antagonize your spouse and cause them to do the same. It could also do lasting damage to your relationship, which will be particularly problematic if you share children as you’ll still need to parent together.
– Stay Focused: The aim of a divorce is to end the marriage and move forward. It is not about getting even with your spouse or convincing others that your spouse is a terrible person. Focus on how you can get the divorce done and put yourself in a strong enough position to move forward, rather than focusing on past hurts.

Pet Spotlight: Help Find a Loving Home
This month, we’ve partnered with Cody’s Friends Rescue to feature a few adorable animals who are ready to become a cherished part of your family.
On the left, meet Baby Bean. Born on Valentine’s Day, Baby Bean is as sweet as she is beautiful! This 7-month-old Pit/Great Pyrenees mix has a playful, energetic side but also loves her naps and cuddle time. She’s great with kids and other dogs and absolutely loves to run! Whether she’s chasing or being chased, Baby Bean would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can burn off energy, then come inside for some cozy family time.
On the right, meet Benny. Beau was at a rural shelter on the Eu list due to length of stay and being over crowded. He is a stunning dog. He is super sweet and very calm. He does not jump on you but loves affection. He doesn’t bark much unless there is something or a noise behind the fence. He is not much of a chewer, nor food aggressive and he is great with other dogs, people and children. We think he is ok with cats too. He doesn’t dig in the yard and he loves to eat! Super beautiful too! He weighs 65 pounds. Read More
