Scarlett Johansson and husband reportedly ending marriage

| Mar 17, 2017 | Divorce

Couples have many things to consider and try to hash out during the process of divorce, including but not limited to property division, spousal support or alimony, and if children are involved, child custody and child support. For celebrity couples, each with a high-net worth, property division may prove to be especially difficult.

News media reported recently that Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson and her husband plan go their separate ways. It had been revealed over the summer that the couple had separated, although they were seen together as recently as last month at an event for a company they own together. Johansson was spotted at the massive Women’s March rally in Washington, D.C., without her wedding ring, which further fueled speculation.

It remains to be seen whether Johansson and her husband had a prenuptial agreement, which would likely make things far easier for all parties involved. The couple has a 2-year-old child together, born shortly before their marriage.

It likely goes without saying that both spouses will enter the courts with a strong family law team at their sides to fight for what they believe are their rights and to preserve what they believe are the best decisions, not only for themselves but for their child as well.

While few people going through a divorce have the wealth or fame of Hollywood stars, most of the issues involved in their divorces are essentially the same. They must sort out their affairs, divide their marital property and work out the details of child custody and child support. The stronger your representation, the more likely you will obtain a favorable outcome.
