Pooja A. Patel

Pooja Patel is a first-generation Hindu American born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Anthropology with minors in Business and Spanish. Ms. Patel was a founding member of Texas Royals and was a member of numerous school organizations including Texas Women’s Rugby. Her legal career began in undergrad as a receptionist and file clerk for a downtown Austin medical malpractice firm. She subsequently obtained a Paralegal certification from the University of Houston and worked as a paralegal for an Intellectual Property Firm.

Ms. Patel has always had a passion for the area of family law.  She graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law where she clerked for the Legal Aid Society and was a student attorney in the Family and Housing Clinic. As a student attorney, she managed cases and represented clients in family law matters including divorce and adoption. 

Ms. Patel resides in Dallas, Texas, and enjoys being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is a proud dog mom of a chihuahua, Jax, and Marley, a Great Dane.
